1984-1991年就讀于北京師範大學心理學部(原心理學系),獲本科及教育心理學碩士學位。1991年起任教于beat365官方网站(原心理學系),後師從王甦先生在職學習認知心理學,于2000年獲認知心理學博士。2001年後,曾多次前往德國慕尼黑大學(LMU)、德國聯邦物理技術研究院(PTB)及波蘭Nencki實驗生物學研究所從事人機界面工程、系統神經科學及認知科學方向的合作研究。近年來,研究興趣主要集中在時間知覺、空間注意和神經美學三個領域。在時間加工領域,通過一項跨文化研究首次揭示了語言經驗對人的時序辨别能力的反向調制,打破了傳統的時間加工與語言能力之間的單向聯系。在空間注意領域,通過十餘年的行為、EEG、MEG及fMRI研究,發現并提出了空間注意在中央和外周視野的功能性分離,該系列成果應邀于2015年以大會主旨報告(Keynote Lecture)的形式在意大利羅馬召開的第六屆國際空間認知大會上與國際同行進行了廣泛交流。此外,曾應邀擔任ERC(European Research Council)外部評審專家、ICSC2018國際會議Scientific Committee成員、Frontiers in Psychology客座副主編、PsyCh Journal短訊編輯等。目前,已在Neuroscience & Biobehavioral Reviews、Cognition、Cognitive Processing、 Experimental Psychology、NeuroImage等學術刊物發表文章約70篇。

  研究方向為三個相互關聯的研究領域:視覺空間注意、時間知覺/時間信息加工、神經美學。三個方向的研究均在國際合作的框架下進行。研究方法包括行為實驗、fMRI、ERP和MEG等神經成像技術。 在注意領域,主要關注不同視野區域的注意功能差異;在時間領域,主要關注高頻(幾十毫秒)和低頻(幾秒)時間窗的時間信息加工及日節律;在神經美學領域,主要關注繪畫、音樂和詩歌中的空間和時間加工機制。
