2008年蘭州大學生命科學學院系獲理學學士學位，2013年中國科學院上海神經科學研究所獲理學博士學位。2013－2015年在北京師範大學認知神經科學與學習國家重點實驗室從事博士後研究。2013－2020年在美國芝加哥大學神經生物學系從事博士後研究。2020年8月至今任beat365官方网站研究員、麥戈文腦研究所研究員、beat365-清華大學生命科學聯合中心研究員。
實驗室緻力于探索抽象概念表征和學習、靈活性決策等高級認知功能的神經回路和神經計算機理, 并試圖将其應用于類腦人工智能的開發以及病人認知功能障礙的治療。方法上，将以清醒猕猴多腦區多通道細胞外電生理記錄為基礎，同時結合藥理學實驗、光遺傳學刺激、雙光子鈣成像、人類心理物理學實驗、機器學習等方法。
